Positioning 

Growing up within structures marked by homophobia, class shame, insult and the regulation of bodies, desire and visibility, I developed ways of relating to the world through by emotional and physical distance. My practice begins from this position, which feels like looking through a window of a small house on the moon, while my body remains attached to the ground.
From this point, I began to observe how my perception has been shaped by conditions that taught me to withdraw and continuously scan my environment. By using photography as a tool for investigating perception, I explore how these ways of seeing, sensing and relating were formed, how they continue to operate in the body and how they can be reoriented. For example, by using cheap lenses, scratched filters, flash and the environment itself as part of the image-making process, the camera becomes part of a wider apparatus that interferes with perception and allows familiar surroundings to appear strange, unstable and open to reorientation.
The outcome of my practice is a rhizomatic body of traces, tools and encounters that can be revisited, connected and reconfigured. Its elements, photographs, writings, objects, digital arrangements and shared exercises, do not follow a linear order; instead they connect, repeat and transform each other across different works. These traces preserve moments in which perception became intensified, unstable or unfamiliar. Through installations, publications and workshops, these materials can become tools for others who wish to investigate their own ways of sensing and relating. The aim of these activations is to create conditions where perception can be questioned and possibly shifted.
